  • What Languages does Pink Rock Learning offer?
    Pink Rock Learning offer Spanish, French & German tuition whereby the content is driven on the Irish Leaving Certificate curriculum for Irish Students - covering written, oral & Aural Spanish at both Higher & Ordinary Level (demand driven).
  • Who are the teachers?
    Teachers are all native Spanish speakers with knowledge & training on the Leaving Certificate Spanish curriculum - The students will be taught by native Spanish teachers who will have clear understanding of the 'ask' for the Irish Leaving Cert. I am working with a Spanish teacher here in Dublin (originally from Seville) to outline & communicate the course to the teachers in Madrid
  • Who can attend this course?
    Any students studying Spanish in Ireland for Junior Cert or Leaving Cert can attend.
  • When do courses take place?
    In November and mid-February, we host the annual TY courses. These courses are for 4 weeks. In June, we run our annual intensive course for 5th year students. Students have the option to complete a two or three week course.
  • How many students can take part in each course?
    There is an average of 20 students per course, although we are not limited to this number.
  • How long is the language course in Madrid?
    Pink Rock Learning Residential courses are targeting TY students whereby they can spend 3 weeks or one month in Spain, immersed in Spanish through school & life.
  • What time will classes take place?
    Classes take place Monday - Friday from 9am - 2pm.
  • Who will supervise students when not in class?
    There will be dedicated supervisor with students at all time, 24/7.
  • What amenities are in each room?
    At this location, you are provided with a fully furnished studio. The studio is fully furnished for your comfort with: - Box spring bed (120x200 cm) including a duvet, a pillow, and bed linen - Side table; - Open closet (90cm); - Round lounge sofa and rug; - TV cabinet and television; - Desk and chair; - Bookcase; - Outdoor table and chair; - Tableware set; - Bathroom set; - Curtains and automatic window shutters; - Ceiling lights, floor lamp, and table lamp. The studio features an AC unit for both heating and cooling so that you can always set your ideal temperature.
  • What toiletries are included in each room?
    The modern bathroom boasts a large wash basin with a mirror wall, a spacious shower, and a toilet. A brand new bathroom set is provided, including: - 2 towels; - 2 guest towels; - 2 washcloths; - 1 toilet paper roll; - 1 bath mat.
  • How do I access my room?
    The studio comes with a key card for easy and secure access and activation of electricity to ensure usage control. Automatic window shutters.
  • Is there Wi-Fi?
    Wi-Fi is provided for your comfort throughout the location premises.
  • Is the residence accessible for wheelchair users?
    Yes. Adapted studios are available at booking, subject to availability, and have a floor space of 33m² including a terrace. Adapted studios are specially designed and prioritized for guests with reduced mobility requirements. Information of your situation and needs for an adaptable studio will be requested upon booking.
  • What food options are available?
    The location has a restaurant: DO EAT! After selecting a studio in the studio selector, you can choose one of the meal plan options: full board, half board, or no meal plan.   • What facilities are available at The Residence?
    Each student will have self-contained bedroom & ensuite bathroom, three meals will be served daily to students at the Restaurant, Sports facilities include padel court, gym etc. pool (summer months), communal washing machine.   • How will students pay for their meals?
    On arrival students will download an APP on their phone & will be given meal credits for duration, these will be used to pay for scheduled meals. Students can of course buy additional food at extra charge.
  • Will dietary requirements be accommodated?
    Yes, once known in advance dietary requirements can be accommodated.
  • How often will students rooms be cleaned?
    Rooms will be cleaned twice during the stay at Our Residence. Students can request additional cleaning, if required, at extra charge. Students can also rent /hire vacuum cleaner at an additional cost.
  • How will student pay for laundry?
    On arrival students will download a mobile app & can add credit for laundry services.
  • What facilities are in the area?

  • Are students allowed mobile phones?
    Students will be allowed phones for certain time period each day, we want to encourage students to use communal areas at The Residence to improve Spanish, meet other students etc.
  • What happens if my child has an emergency during the course?
    All students must have EU health card or Health Insurance (proof required) in advance of travel to Spain. There is hospital close to residence and emergency dispatch service is located just few kilometres from The Residence.
  • What will students do in the afternoon?
    For the duration of their visit excursions and activities will be scheduled into their timetable in the afternoon.
  • What will students do at the weekend?
    Weekends will be down time at The Residence & some excursions will be scheduled in during their stay. The excursions will mainly be Madrid Highlights - Football Stadium, Museums, Tours etc.
  • How do students get from the airport to the Residence?
    A mini bus /driver will be scheduled at specific date & time to bring student group to/from residence based on course dates. Students not on these flights will have to arrange transport to /from The Residence.
  • Can students travel to Madrid?
    Students will only be allowed travel solo with Parents explicit written consent per trip.
  • How will students travel to/from Madrid?
    Parents will be encouraged to book flights for number of children to travel together, unaccompanied students will be met at Madrid airport by Pink Rock Learning staff & escorted to The Residence. Similarly, on return to Ireland, students will be escorted by Pink Rock Learning Staff & handed over to airline rep.
  • Where do students stay in Madrid?
    Students will stay at our Madrid 'Residence' /Student Experience Address: Av. de Rodajos, 3, 28223 Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid, Spain.
